Last year for the first time the formal dance was held in the League, having been given in the IM Building previously. * * * REPORTS WERE so successful that the committee has decided to again use the League ballroom and adjoining rooms for their dance. "Musical Moods" is to be the ballroom will be decorated in ballroom wil Ire decorated in keeping with this musical note. Sorority houses will be responsi- ble for decorating the rooms and the concourse. Three or four houses work together to decorate one room. fr THE THEME will be carried out in these rooms, since each room will be finished in a distinct musi- cal mood. For example, one room will have a semi-classical theme, another a jazz note, and another will have the 'blues'. Two door awards will be given during intermission. They will be selected by drawing stubs from the tickets sold.. With the tickets, the committee is offering carnations, which will be delivered to the sorority house the evening of the dance. Refreshments will be served from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the ball. Several houses expect to be giving dinners for their members and their guests before the affair. Panhel Ball is traditionally a formal affair', and women are per- mitted to wear flowers if they de- sire. Coeds will be given late per- mission that evening. Panhel Ball, a coed-bid dance, is open to al affiliates on the cam- pus. Central Committee members for the dance are: general chairman, Elaine Madden; assistant, Nancy P r i d m o r e; decorations, Jean Knibbe; assistant, J o a n Kay Brush; publicity, Joan Blieden; programs, Carlotta Ziegler; tick- ets, Dibby Ewing and patrons, Sue Trometer. Television Show To Star Students Beverly Clarke, president of Pan- hel, and Jack Smart, president of IFC, will .discuss fraternity and sorority housing on the Television Hour at 1 p.m. today on one of the Detroit TV channels. Delta Tau Delta, winners of last year's IFC Sing, and Kappa Kap- pa Gamma, who was the winning group at Lantern Night, will also appear on the program. Bowling Club Tells Schedule WAA Bowling Club manager, Beri Miench, has announced the members who will bowl from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday at the WAB. The women scheduled to bowl on Monday are Ellen Bird, Bon- nie Schweitzer, Janet Gilger, Joan Randolph, Carol Gutentag, Pat Kreuser, Mary Jane Hoesch and Norma Champagne. Members who will bowl on fol- lowing days will be announced Tuesday. Miss Miench asks anyone who is interested in joining the Bowling Club to come Monday afternoon to the WAB. Jam Session An informal jam session will be sponsored by the Hot Re- cord Society at 8 p.m. today in the League.
