I Lipsky announced yesterday. FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 4 I 2091 East Washington The intrepid nine who are set- ting up the Arts Theatre Club havet run into another difficulty though compared with their other trou- bles, this one is only minor. Strowan Robertson, one of the group's directors, explained yester- day, that a number of people have, been puzzled about the title of "The Respectable Prostitute." The play by Jean Paul Sartre is one of1 two the group will present on its first program. ROBERTSON SAID that the play was, as most people had I thought, the same one which had r been produced on Broadway and throughout the country as "The Respectful Prostitute." "We're using the same trans- lation they used in New York," Robertson said, "but we've changed the title because we think it's more appropriate tot -the spirit of the play." But changing the names of Sartre's plays is nothing new, Robertson declared. He picked ast an example the changes in title the play "Huis Clos" had under-J gone. . Presents "IN ENGLAND it was 'Vicious Circle,' on Broadway it was called 'No Exit,' when we produced it here we called it 'Closed Session'," he said. Meanwhile activities at the club's theatre at 209% E. Wash- ington were pounding along, in preparation for Tuesday's opening night. The first bill will consist of the Sartre play and "Red Pep- pers," by Noel Coward. Business Manager Ed Troupin said several more memberships had been sold, but added, "We aren't proud. We can always use more members. Interested persons should call 7301 or send in their mail orders to the-theatre at 209% E. Wash- ington, Troupin said. A member- ship costs $6. Museum Movies "Man and Trees" will be the topic of the University Museums' Friday evening program this week.
