Zeta Beta Tau will center its activities around May Festival. They. will hold an open house tomorrow. SIGMA ALPHA MU will hold a Hawaiian party tomorrow night complete with smoking volcanoes and pineapple and coconut delicacies. Several sororities and fraternities are holding their pledge form- als this weekend as a last big activity before finals. Alpha Gamma Delta will hold its pledge formal dance tonight at the Allenel Hotel. "Five Chips and a Chirp" will furnish the music for their "Rose Fantasy." * *~ *. *. A SPRING THEME will be used in the decorations for the pledge formal of Alpha Phi tomorrow night. The dance will be held at the sorority house after dinner at the Union. Hugh Jackson will play for the dancing. Triangle pledges and actives will escort their dates to their spring pledge formal tonight in the VFW Hall. Delta Sigma Phi men will hold their pledge formal in the Grand Rapids room of the League tomorrow night. After dinner, the couples will dance to the music of Jim Servis. DELTA KAPPA EPSILON will hold its pledge dinner and dance at their house tonight. Lambda Chi Alpha men will take their dates to their spring pledge formal at the Willow Run Flight room. Johnny Harberd's 'Combo' will provide the music for dancing. Kappa Delta pledges will be honored at "a dinner and formal dance tomorrow night from 9 p.m. to midnight. Couples will dine and dance at the Washtenaw Country Club. SIGMA DELTA PI will hold a "Hill Billy" pledge party at their house tomorrow night. Records will provide the music for dancing. Winchell House of West Quad will journey to the Fresh Air Camp tomorrow for a picnic. Sports and dancing will be on the schedule. Chi Phi and Delta Sigma Delta will hold rceord dances tomorrow night. VICTOR VAUGHAN men and their dates will board a Mississippi river boat tomorrow night for their annual spring formal dance "Vaughan Voyage." Stockwell women and their escorts will attend a dinner dance to- morrow night in the Stockwell "Zebra Room" Night Club. The entire Alpha Omicron Pi chapter will attend a State Day convention at Birmingham tomorrow. L Jordan HaIlTo Stage Annual Spring Formal Rainbows and spring flowers. will be the theme at Jordan Hall's annual spring semi-formal dance, "Rainbow Moods," which will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight to- night at the dormitory. Dancing to the music of Ted Smith and his orchestra, Jordan women and their escorts will be transported into a garden-like room with white picket fences in- termingled with crepe paper flow- ers surrounding the walls of the small dining room. A large rain- bow. will arch above the band- stand. In the larger of the two dining rooms small, individual tables will provide resting places for couples who wish to relax or to eat. The centerpiece of each table will be an old fashioned nosegay. The center of the large table where food will be served will be adorn- ed by a large floral bouquet. A photographer will be in the alcove of the large dining room. Jo Spencer and Dotty Urban are co-chairmen of the dance. Joyce McGehee and Libby Davis are co- chairmen of the decorations com- mittee. SIGMA NU'S HOST ATO'S: Fraternity Rivals To Meet at Annual Dance Members of Sigma Nu frater- nity will play host to their guests at the annual White Rose Ball to be held from 9 p.m. to midnight tomorrow in the League Ballroom. Guests at the dance will include members of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, which has been the ri- val of the Sigma Nu's since the founding of the two fraternities at Virginia Military Institute. Decorations for the event will consist of over 1800 white roses placed on arbors and trelises at the, entrance and elsewhere in the ballroom. Ted Smith and his orchestra will provide the music for the dance. Intermission entertainment will be comprised of a show put on by the band ,and .the renditions of a soloist and an all-girl beauty- shop quartet. * * * a THE NAMES of "Whitefeet" and "Blackfeet," which have been assumed by the Sigma Nu's and ATO's respectively, originated be- cause of the footwear of their founders. The Sigma Nu's wore white boots, and the ATO's attired themselves in their accustomed black boots. Invitations have also been sent to Sigma Nu chapters at Michigan State, Albion and Bowling Green. Other guests will include sorority and fraternity presidents and leaders of campus organizations. IN ADDITION, President and Mrs. Alexander G. The barrage of tomatoes is a result of a publicity stunt for Slide Rule Ball, which will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. tonight in the Union Ballroom. The rivalry between the engineers and the lawyers dates back many years and this is the first time both the Crease Ball, the lawyers' dance, and the Slide Rule Ball have been held on the same night.
