The blackfooted ATO's will play hosts to their long standing rivals, the whitefooted Sigma Nu's at the annual dance. The rivalry began many years ago when the two fraternities were founded at Vir- ginia Military Institute. At this time, the ATO's were the cadets required to wear black boots, while the original Sigma Nu's wore white ones. In honor of their founders, the ATO's will wear black shoes tonight, and the Sigma Nu's will be seen sporting white bucks. To gain admittance to the dance, the Sigma Nu's will also wear tiny white paper feet in the lapels of their tuxedos. These will serve to carry out the rivalry of the two groups which will also be depicted by the decorations of the dance. There will be gigantic black feet around the walls of the ballroom.
