THE MICHIGAN DAILY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1950 Train Fare Cut Offered For Holiday Special train rates for students leaving for Christmas vacation Dec. 22 have been arranged by Vul- cans; senior engineering honorary society. Students bound for Chicago and New York, Albany, Boston, Ro- chester and Buffalo may save up to $7 by taking advantage of the service, according; to Dick Allen, '51E, chairman of the Traifn Ser- vice Committee. * .* BEGUN LAST YEAR as a means of reducing the congested Christ- mas travel conditions, Vulcans' train service sent eight coachfuls of rejoicing students off to the New York area, and four coaches to Chicago. The service was also offered for Easter vacationing stu- dents, and many took advantage of it. Tickets, which will be on sale from Dec. 6 to Dec. 18 at the Ad- ministration building, entitle students to a reserved seat on an air-conditioned coach leaving Ann Arbor and a return ticket which may be used at their con- venience. Allen explained that students going to Chicago will ride a special coach on the regular train, which will leave at 1:11 p.m. They may take the Twilight Limited which leaves later, if they choose. New York-bound students will have a special train as they did' last year. This train will leave at 7:40 p.m. Tickets will not be sold at the train station, Allen said, and only a limited number will be sold at the Administration building. He urged students to complete ar- rangements as early as possible to insure securing a reservation.
