No selling, exclusive franchise, rsmall investment. Contact Neal Distributing Co., Mauston, Wis. ib V By GEORGE FLINT The bill of fare calls for great tennis playing and glamour with a capital 'G' (for Gussie) on the court at Yost Field House tonight when the cross-country combine of Bobby Riggs and Co. appears for the first time in Ann Arbor. The starting time is 7:30 p.m. * * * THE GREAT tennis playing should be furnished by the bril- liant Jack Kramer and the chal- lenging Pancho Segura, who will square off for their almost-nightly duel for the supremacy of the pro net world. Kramer now leads in matches won, 9-6. As for the glamor, well, a gal named Gussie, who's famous for a pair of pan- ties, and another gal named Pauline, who'sequally famous for her ability on the court, will provide about as much of that as has been seen in the arch- conservative confines of Michi- gan's varsity sports building. The two girls, Pauline Betz and Gertrude (Gussie) Moran, bring a note of feminity to the proceed- ings, and it should be remembered that both can play good tennis. THE PROFESSIONAL quartet will square off in a mixed doubles match once the formalities and in- formalities of the singles battles have been taken care of. The matches will be played on a specially designed c a n v a s s -IF and must be laced together up the middle for each night's stand. * * * THE KRAMER-SEGURA match is another example of an age-old sports question-Can a good big man consistently beat a good lit- tle man? So far the question has- n't been conclusively answered, as the duo have been close to fifty- fifty in the tour so far. Segura -defeated Big Jake when it counted most, in last spring's National Professional Championships. Whether or not he can do that over a long stretch of matches is questionable, but at any rate the bandy-legged Ecuadorian consist- ently gives the former National Singles champion as much a run for his money as any.one has in the last six years. The reason Michigan is finding the going a bit rough on the grid- iron this year may well lie within the Wolverines' schedule. According to a survey by the United Press of the schedules of every major college and university in the country, Michigan's schedule was deemed the toughest in the nation. As a league the Big Ten conference was also judged the roughest of them all. * * * THE RESULTS of the survey were calculated by using the rank- ings of the most recent ratings of the United Press coaches' rating board as a base and each opponent on each schedule was ranked. Then the strength of the 0 JACK KRAMER ... big man leads, 9-6 court, which Riggs has trans- ported with the troupe in a one- ton truck. The court, measuring 112 feet by 56 feet, is carried in two pieces . - r- I i I I Mi _ TI Closing Out our Entire Stocks of FINE ORIENTAL RUGS All are marked at Low Prices!
