Among the shades are bright red suede with gold kid scrollwork and lace. Strictly for evening is black lace over gold kid. The shoe is appropriate for daytime, resort and evening wear. Style Experts' Predict New FashionEra With the advent of 1950 comes a new era of fashion, say leading designers. The past fifty years have seen the Gibson Girl of 1900, the hobble skirt of .1914, the dropped waist- line and short skirt of 1927, the romantic look of 1937, the slim silhouette of 1947 and the New Look of 1948. American and French design- ers alike agree wholeheartedly that "simplicity" will be the keyword for the 1950 slender fluid look. Clothes will besgeared to present- day activities and speed. The simplicity of daytime dress, however, is predicted to give way to great elegance for formal oc- casions. Fear that the "simple" silhou- ette of today will be drastically changed by next year, with a con- sequent outdating of fashions with the coming of every new season, has been allayed by New York and Paris experts. Therefore the restraint, fluidity of line, modification of ornamen- tation and naturalness of silhou- ette forseen for 1950 will suffer only minor changes for at least a decade. Fashion authorities explain that the accepted time for a complete revolution of the fashion clock is ten years. Among othier predictions are that clothes will be consistently younger, fabrics will playsanin- creasingly important role, fem- ininity will be stressed, interest will mount in quality and the rea- lization that dresses are frames for personality.
