An early morning hike through the country will launch festivities. Hikers will return to feast on a turkey dinner with all the trim- mings and to view a play presented by the pledges. The traditional pledge-active football game in the Arboretum will be one of the highlights of the afternoon. The game is reported to be famous for its "impartial of- ficiating" and "movable goal lines." Climaxing a full day, the group will go into Detroit in the evening to see the current stage hit, "Mis- ter Roberts." Perfumers Develop New AtomScent A new perfume essence which Paris perfumers insist is having the impact of the atom bomb on their industry, has implications which threaten to go much fur- ther than the perfume trade. The 'bombe exotique' is an en- tirely new ingredient among the twenty-eight combined in the lat- est fragrance. Frankly physical in character, the new perfume is claimed to be so unique that it will neutralize all others worn in the same room. Coming at a time when Paris coutouriers, and designers gen- erally, admit that women are look- ing for styles more dramatic and personalized than in the past, the fragrance has motivated a move- ment which is spreading through- out the fashion world. League To Give Record Concert The League Council will spon- sor its weekly record concert frIn 8 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the League Library. Works which the program will feature are Beethoven's Third Symphony (the Eroica), and Lizst's Hungarian Rhapsody. Informality will prevail at the concert which will be presented amid the comfortable surround- ings of the Library. Women are invited to bring their dates and friends to the music hour. To supplement the concert com- plete scores of the two program features will be available. The Li- brary also has an extensive collec- tion of books dealing with music. Interviewing To Begin Dec. 6, For Assembly Ball Positions t Petitions for Assembly Ball will be due Monday, Dec. 5. Interviews will be held on Tu ll- day, Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 6, 7 and 8. An interviewing schedule will be posted in the Un- dergraduate Office of the League on which petitioners may make appointments. The positions which are open are: general chairman, decora- tions chairman, programs chair- "nan, patrons chairman, publicity chairman, finance chairman and tickets chairman. Activities chairmen in the re- spective residences have been sup- plied with sample petitions for the use of women who will need help in writing their petitions. Questions will be answered at the Assembly Office or by exam- ining back reports of past commit- tee chairmen found in the office. The annual girl-bid dance, is the independent women's coun- terpart to Panhellenic's annual Panhel Ball and likewise is usually open to all campus. Women seek- ing further information may con- tact the Assembly Board members.{ Dames To Plan Party, See Film The Michigan Dames Child Study group will meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the home of Mrs. Dan McKunion, 2109 Copley Avenue. Movies entitled, "Life with Baby," and "Let Your Child Help You" will be prese nted. They were obtained from the Auditory-Visual Education Center of the Univer- sity.
