The Internationl Students Asso-
ciation will again sponsor its an-
nual International Ball, taking
place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. April
28 in the Union Ball Room.
This year, as last year, the ISA
is attempting to defy the overpow-
ering ratio of men to women on
this campus by establishing a date
bureau.,
Proven by past experience to be
a most satisfactory arrangement
both to thankful men and their
acquired dates, the date bureau
will provide the opportunity for
coeds to attend the ball if they
have no other invitation to it.

have little opportunity to meet
coeds on this campus, since
many of them are in the engi-
neering school. The date bureau
makes it possible for them to at-
tend the dance and also gives
their dates a chance to attend
this always successful event."
Women who wish to take advan-
tage of the bureau may call Uni-
versity extension 358 and ask for
Mrs. Meade, according to Pod-
gorski. *
THIS EIGHTH annual ball is
all-campus and will be semi-for-

mal or native dress. Benefits from
the dance will enter the Foreign
Students' Emergency Fund.
Two bands, well known in De-
troit and Ann Arbor, will pro-
vide the musical background.
Frank Tinker will provide part
of the music and Tony Sadrack
from Detroit will play the rest
of the evening.
All that has been devulged for
official publication concerning the
floor show is that it will contain a
very amusing master-of-ceremon-
ies and a French quartet.
Decorations will follow an In-
ternational theme. The band stand
will resemble a huge boat and on
either side of the room will be pic-
tures covering the walls.
One scene will depict tropical
life with a native hut and palm
trees, and the other side of the
room will feature a polar scene.
Decorators Meet
Michigan Dames' Interior
Decorating group will meet at
Nielsen's Flower Shop and
Greenhouse, 1021 Maiden Lane.
Two professional designers
will demonstrate flower ar-
rangements for the home.
