Frosh Weekend Blue Team Dance April 28, 9-12 p.m. at the League. Tickets go on sale today at the Administration Building and the League. The waiting list for the Univer- sity Terrace Apartments and Vet- erans' Housing Project will be op- en in the Office of Student Affairs on April 27 and 28, 1950. The fol- lowing students are eligible to ap- ply: 1. Only married veterans of World War II who are at present' registered in the University may apply4 z. Only Michigan residents may apply. (The Regents' definition of a Michigan resident follows: "No one shall be deemed a resident of Michigan for the purpose of regis- tration in the University unless he or she has resided in this State six months preceding the date of pro- posed enrollment.") 3. Only full-time students carry- -ing 12 hours of work or more, or part - time idtudent and part - time teachers, whose total hours of teaching and class hours elected amount to an equivalent of 12 hours or more, may apply. 4. Veterans who have incurred 'physical disability of a serious na- ture will be given first considera- tion. A written statement from Dr. Forsythe of the University Health Service concerning such disability should be included in the appli- cation. 5. Length of service, particularly overseas service, will be an im- portant determining factor. (In considering an applicant's total length of service, A.S.T.P., V-12, and similar programs will be dis- counted.) 6. If both husband and wife are veterans of World War II and the husband is a Michigan resident and both are enrolled in the Uni- versity, their combined applica- tions will be given special consid- eration. Each applicant must present with his application his Military Record and Report of Separation,' also a copy of the Marriage Certi- f icate. Students who are admitted to these apartments may in no case occupy them for a period longer than two years. Cancellation: The Bureau of Appointments has just received notification that Mr. B. H. Jordan of the National Distillers Chemical Corporation will be unable to keep his appointments on Thurs., April 20. All appointments will be can- celled until further notice. YWCvlA National Office will in- terviewyoung women for training for positions in the following fields: Health and Physical Edu- cation; work with teen-age boys and girls; work with employed girls and women. Positions are filled throughout the United States. In- terviews will be held Thursday and Friday, April 20 and 21. American Airlines will interview young women for stewardess po- sitions next week. Interviews will be. held on Tuesday and Wednes- day, April 24 and 25, and appoint- ments should be made at the Bu- reau. Hudson Company will in- terview men and women seniors who may be interested in their Executive Training Program. Assignments will be in any part of the country, af- ter two months' training in Evans- ton. The work is selling of group insurance on a salaried basis, and a good deal of traveling is involv- ed.
