Marta Abba, internationally fa- mous Italian actress was coaxed out of retirement to play the lead in Luigi Pirandello's psychological masterpiece. "THE HEIRESS," taken from Henry James' bitter study of in- heritance and frustration, "Wash- ington Square," will star Basil Rathbone and Martha Scott. Delta Gamma Sorority will play hostess to Miss Scott, Uni- versity graduate and former DG during her stay in Ann Arbor. Best known for her interpreta- tions of Pirandello's plays, Miss Abba has played in London, Paris, Berlin, Budapest, Vienna, Prague and South America. "As You De- sire Me" is dedicated to her. THE ITALIAN ACTRESS won recognition in this country for her performance of the Grand Duch- ess in "Tovarich." Brandon Peters, who played the role of the husband in the Judith Anderson production 17 years ago, will play the same role opposite Miss Abba.
