THE MICHIGAN DAILY FRIDAY, NEW SURVEY BEGINS: Literary College Seniors To Be Quized on'U' Life (. By DAVE THOMAS Graduating seniors in the lit- erary college will soon be asked to tell the University more about themselves. Approximately half of the sen- ior class will be asked to take part in a new voluntary survey being conducted for the Curriculum Committee and the Administra- tion of the college. A 17-page questionnaire is al- ready in the mails along with a letter explaining the purposes of the survey. IN ADDRESSING THE prospec- tive graduates the letter notes that American universities are often criticized as factories which have neither the time nor the means to take a personal interest in their students and evaluate the effectiveness of their programs. "This questionnaire represents an earnest attempt to find out more about you-your interest, has Everything in Music to Keep Ann Arbor at "Concert Pitch". The University is not inter- ested in compiling data about individual elements, the survey stresses. Only general statistical results will be made available to faculty members. This new senior survey replaces the old sophomore exams-a more formal type of appraisal of what the student has derived from col- lege. Seniors should turn in the com- pleted questionnaires at a table in the lobby of Angell Hall on next Wednesday or Thursday. --Daly-Doi Howe "AH, WILDERNESS"-Sylvia Field and Ernest Truex rehearse a tender love scene from Act 3 of "Ah, Wilderness" which will open the revived Drama Festival Monday night at Lydia Mendels.,hui Theatre.
