ON1 Field Hockey Club-The Ann Arbor Hockey Club, recently re- organized, is seeking new talent. The group will meet Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:45 at the Women's Athletic Building. No experience is necessary to join. All interested graduate women students are invited to play with the club starting today. Equip- ment will be furnished. * * *.. Assembly-Union Social Commit- tee-All league house women in- terested in working on the central committee of the Assembly-Union Social Committee dances should signrup for interviews in the Un- dergraduate Office of the League. Petitions are not required and interviews will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week in the Assembly office of the Un- dergraduate Office of the League. The teas will be held each week in the League under the spon- sorship of Panhellenic and Assem- bly. * * * Dormitory, League House Pres- idents' Meeting-There will be im- portant meetings of dormitory and league house presidents at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Dormitory presidents will meet in the Assembly office in the Un- dergraduate Office of the League and league house presidents will meet in the ABC Room of the League. Representatives are asked to bring eligibility cards. Open House - An open house will be held tonight from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Grand Rapids Room of the League. Ping pong, cards and juke box music will be provided for entertainment. * * * Camp Counselors Club-An or- ganizational meeting of the Camp Counselors Club will take place at 5 p.m. tomorrow in the WAB lounge. The club is organized to discuss and carry out all phases of camp life and is open to girls who have been camp counselors and those who would like to do that type of work. This year the club plans to aid new girls in becoming camp coun- selors with instruction and advice, according to Carol Tuer, club manager. * * * Volleyball - There will be a meeting of all women interested in being volleyball timers and scor- ers at 5 p.m. tomorrow in the Pos- ture Room at Barbour Gym. Par- ticipation points will be given for this activity. * * * Soph Cabaret Tryouts-Atten- tion, all sophomore talent! Try- outs for the floorshow of Soph Cabaret are being held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the League. Coeds who wish to tryout for dancing are requested to wear shorts. All tryouts should bring eligibility cards. Assembly Award-All indepen- dent women not living in dormi- tories who have a scholastic av- erage exceeding 3.5 are asked to give such information to Assembly before Tuesday. Coeds in this category should leave their names and point aver- ages at the Undergraduate Office of the League in the box of As- sembly president, Arlette Har- bour. The information will be used in determining an individual award which will be presented at the an- nual Assembly Fortnite program October 6. All campus organizations are in- Aited to participate in the "Activ- .ties Day" exhibit to be sponsored 'y the League and Union Wednes- lay and Thursday in the second floor concourse of the League. The purpose of the exhibit is to educate the students concern- ing campus clubs, honor societies and all non-professional organi- zations. The projects will be grouped according to the type of, organization. Lois Steere and Jack Kruse are heading the committee. Miss Steere will be in the Undergrad- uate Office of the League from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday to answer questions, assign space, and ex- plain the project. Exhibits can include posters, scale models or representations of any kind which will indicate the activities or aims of the group participating. Representatives of the participating groups are in-' vited to be present to answer ques- tions. Among the projects will be a sailboat display by the sailing club. The 'Ensian and Daily will show briefly through explana- tions and examples how their publications go to press. This will be the first large scale exhibit of its kind on the Mich- igan campus. It is hoped that the display will begin a new tradition which will help orient students with the various campus activities. I .1 there's only one, the opera pump... now, it makes news again Dance Classes Need Hostesses A meeting for women inter- ested in acting as hostesses for League Dance Classes beginning October 4 and continuing through November 23 will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the League Ball- room. The class for beginners will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays. The intermediate class will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and the advanced class from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
