He spotted Sinnigen, a tall, broad-shoul- dered blond, and put the finger on him immediately. From then on, life for the ex- West Quad resident sounded like a rags-to-riches success story. Up to that point, his dramatic experi- ence was limited to a lead in his high schoolseniordplay and a summer of radio drama at Na- tional Music Camp, Interlochen. * * * NOW, PLAYING the part of El- liot Parker in the film, he is re- ceiving a copious salary, allow- ance,, luxurious quarters, and is studying at the University. As compared to the figures a year ago, the number of R.O.T.C. men exceeds the 1947 total by 527, as only 188 students took advan- tage of the 9-unit training pro- gram last September. The number this year has been greatly influenced, of course, by the present draft legislation, and exceeds the normal University ex- pectation by two years, it has boen estimated. Each student in the designated sections will find a card and attached instruction sheet at his seat. Sophomores, aided by some freshmen will flash the cards. Cheerleaders will direct students in manipulating their cards.
