Ticket Sales To Feature Skits Legal Theme To Prevail at ANNIVERSARY SONG: Phi Gamms, Phi Delts To Give Formal 'Wig and Robe' Ticket sales for the Soph Cab- aret production of "Don't Myth It!", which will be presented from 8 p.m. to midnight Dec. 10 and 11 in the League, are now going on in dormitories and league houses. Tickets may also be purchased League Notes There will be a combined re- hearsal of the entire floorshow of Soph Cabaret at 7 p.m. today in University High School. There will be a compulsory meeting of the JGP central com- mittee from 4 to 5:15 p.m. today in Room C of the League. The script will be discussed. The finance committee of JGP will meet at 5 p.m. today in Room C of the League. ** * Coeds petitioning for League positions must bring eligibility cards to their interviews. These may be obtained in Room 2, Uni- versity Hall. Snapshots are also required for the interviews. All those petitioning for posi- tions on the Judiciary Council are asked to sign for interviews on Dec. 13.4 it the Union from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the League from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in University Hall from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Skits will be presented by mem- bers of the Cabaret publicity com- mittee beginning tomorrow in the dormitories as a preview of the event. Ted Smith and his orchestra will play for the annual Cabaret both nights. Smith's orchestra, , con- sisting of men from the West Quad, was organized this fall, and is rapidly gaining renown around campus. Amixer, special booths . and games, refreshments, and floor- shows will be worked around a mythology theme. "A Date with Jupiter," the floorshow, will be presented at 8:30 to 10 p.m. with singing, danc- ing, and variety acts centered around a visit to Mt. Olympus by a Michigan coed. Michigan Dames Michigan Dames Book Group will meet at 8 p.m. today at the home of Mrs. Norman Banghart, 123 Worden Street. With an eye toward Christmas buying, Miss Hazel Keedle of the Ann Arbor Public Library will ad- dress the group on the subject of "Children's Books." Mrs. John Payne and Mrs. Jonas Kristinsson will assist Mrs. Bang- hart as hostesses. Heading the list of this week- end's pre-Christmas dances will be the annual Wig and Robe Ball to be presented by the Barristers Society from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday in the Union ballroom. Music for the semi-formal occa- sion will be provided by Frank Tinker and his orchestra, while the atmosphere will be definitely legal. Caricatures of renowned barris- ters of the past will line the walls to add to the court room feeling, and ticket takers will do their share as well by dressing in wigs and robes for the occasion. PROGRAMS TOO will follow the theme in the form of old scripts written in a legal style. The dance this weekend will also mark the revival of the long dead lawyer-engineer feud. EXCLUDING ENGINEERS the dance will be open to all. Dress for the semi-formal affair will mean formal gowns for women and dress or dark business suits for the men. Tickets are now on sale at they Law School in the corridors be- tween classes in the law club. They may also be purchased from members of the Barristers Society. Committees for the dance this year include William Porter, gen- eral chairman; Arthur Rude, as- sistant chairman; James Sprunk, Arthur Northrup and Fred Claus- en, decorations; John Gorn and John Galbraith, tickets; and Rich- ard Wellman, Morris Milnet and John Leggat, publicity. Phi Gamma Delta and Phi Del- ta Theta will celebrate their joint centennial anniversaries with a formal dance which will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight Dec. 10 in the American Legion Home. Both fraternities were founded in 1848. Phi Gamma Delta started their fraternity on May 1 at Washington and Jefferson College, Canonsburg, Pa. The hundredth convention of the fraternity was held last June in Pittsburgh, with the 79 active chapters which con- stitute the membership at present attending. Phi Delta Theta was founded at Miami University, Miami, Ohio. The local chapter was founded in 1864. Arrangements for the dance are being made by Robert Rose and Robert Stitt, president and social chairman of Phi Delta Theta, and Robert Spiegel and Jack Post, president and social chairman of Phi Gamma Delta.
