Serkin immediately became a celebrity when he made his de- but in Vienna at the age of twelve, but again his father re- fused to send his child on con- cert tours. After several more years of study, under Arnold Schoenberg, Serkin set out on his first con- cert tours in France, England, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Aus- tria. 'Red dean' To Speak Today gU'Fraternity Men Organize New Chorus More Christmas caroling is as- sured the Michigan campus this year with the organization of an interfraternity glee -club whidh will have its first meeting at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in Room 3-C, Mich- igan Union. Singing at such all-campus events as Varsity Night as well as at fraternity gatherings is the purpose of the club, according to Mac Barnum, IFC member respon- sible for starting the group. PROF. MAYNARD KLEIN, of the music school, will assist the new organization in the problems of group singing. The glee club will consist of a quartet from each participating house. The quartet will include two tenors, a baritone and a bass. Klein will meet weekly with in- dividual quartets, according to present plans.
