The Nov. 22 issues of Time and Newsweek carry stories of her morning television show in their radio-television sections. WITH HER husband, Hal Coop- er, 46SM, Miss Meikle conducts the half-hour program, "Baby Sit- ter," over a New York station. From 8:30 to 9 each morning, when mothers are presumably oc- cupied with dishes and unmade beds, Miss Meitkle conducts her show for pre-school children. In keeping youngsters from 2 to school age free of mother's apron strings, Miss Meikle first tells of the adventures of a pig- eon named Wilmer, illustrating her commentary with line draw- ings as she goes along. The central portion of her pro- gram is devoted to the telling of a fairy tale. She finishes up with more drawing designed to teach the alphabet painlessly.. Miss Meikle's program has been labeled the answer to a thousand players" from parents seeking suitable programs for children of pre-Lone Ranger vintage. A graduate of Ann Arbor High School, Miss Meikle took part in the high school senior play in 1939, prior to her work in the School of Music here.
