A tremendous Soph Cabaret There will be a rehearsal of the singing chorus of Soph Cab- aret at 5 p.m. today in the League. repertoire of smoothly played sweet and swing has helped him attainasuccess as a popular dance orchestra. Decorations in a sophisticated key based on the "Mood Indigo" theme will transform the IM ball- room into a fairyland for dancers. Blue and silver will predominate. Huge silhouettes will be the focal point of attention at either end of the room. Novel programs of indigo blue, created of plastic and celluloid willcbe given as favors at the dance. Tickets for the formal dance, which is no longer only coed-bid, may be purchased today on the Diag, in University Hall, the League and at the door. In line with campus tradition only central committee members will wear cor- sages. Sneak Preview To Be Featured At Bowery Ball "Bowery Ball," the first in a series of specialty dances spon- sored by the Union Council, will be presented from 9 p.m. to mid- night today in the Union Ball- room. Larry Maisel will act as master of ceremonies during the intermis- sion entertainment. Pollee Thom- son, a wicked, witty songstress, will do her own renditions of "Curse of an Aching Heart" and "If I Were a Millionaire." Also on the program will be Lucille, a comedienne, who will present a monologue of "His Merry Oldsmobile." The finale chorus of Soph Cabaret will give a sneak preview of "Slumming," a tap dance number. Frank Tinker and his regular Union orchestra will play for danc- ing at the strictly informal affair. Tonight another Sadie Hawkin's Day eve will be commemorated,' a-la-SAE. Charmin' Daisy Maes and handsome Li'l Abners will gather in the hay loft-alias the living room-for the celebration. Kickapoo joy-juice will be served as inspiration throughout the evening. SAE pledges are slated to enact the history of Sadie Hawkin's Day.f Guest of honor and initiator of a new game will be Salome-a real. live pig! She will provide the entertainment by allowing herself to be greased and then by seeing how many pledges she can successfullyt elude. THETA DELTS will run rampant at their final Football Fling tomorrow evening. Their dining room will be transformed into a dancing hall, overflowing with gridiron atmosphere. Couples will find it necessary to "plow" their way through a giant doorway to reach the dance floor. The members of Sigma Chi have planned a formal dinner- dance in honor of their pledges to be held tomorrow evening. The pledges' dates will be presented with white rose corsages-the white rose being the fraternity flower. Miniature paddles will be given as favors. As is the tradition, the latest Sig initiates will plan the festive decorations, and consequently they will remain secret until tomorrow night. Del Elliot and orchestra will provide mood music for the affair. MARTHA COOK COEDS will square-dance to the tune of "Lady Round the Lady" et al from 8:30 p.m. to midnight tonight. Dave Palmer will do the calling. For those who prefer a more sophisticated style, there will be a jukebox to provide intermission music. Another special feature will be a floorshow put on by some of the coeds. Lots of refreshments in the form of cider and doughnuts have been promised. The Acacia "Platter Palace" will feature a disc jockey program tomorrow night. The men have been working all semester to get posters of well-known bandleaders from local record shops to give the decorations that authentic touch. The couples will have a chance to hear their favorite platters, dance and enjoy the refreshments. "Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, the biggest show on earth -the Chi Psi fun-house." If screams are heard along State Street tomorrow night, someone is not being -murdered-it's the Chi Psi fun-house party. Fun mazes, trick mirrors and all, will make for a good time. HOTEL "ROYAL ZETE" will be the theme&of the Zeta Psi party tomorrow night. Cliff Hoff and his orchestra will provide the musical background. Joe Dean, who performed the feat of stilt-walking at the Navy game, and the famed "Zete" Quartet, will be on hand for intermission entertainment. Smith's Barn will be the scene of the Phi Delt partying tonight. The barn is the "real thing" even to the extent of chick- ens cackling at the door. It has gone slightly modern in one corner of the room where a juke box has been installed. Several buses will transport couples to and fro. THE BOWERY WILL BE in the limelight tomorrow night at the Theta Chi tavern. Checkered tablecloths and candlelight will proceed to set the proper mood. A harmonious background will be set by Johnny Harberd and his orchestra. Alumni traveling to see the last home game of the year will be the honored guests. * * * * PRESCOTT HOUSE MEN and their dates will don jeans and take off in buses at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow for a party at the Fresh Air Camp. After a-dinner of hot dogs ahd all the trimmings, square- dancing has been planned. The Pi Lams will indulge in one of the season's most popular pastimes tonight when they and their dates go hayriding. Later in the opening barn dancing will be featured in their elaborately decorated living room. Straw will replace the usual seating arrangements. Lanterns suspended from wagon wheels will provide the lighting. The Sig Eps will honor their pledges at a formal dinner-dance tonight. The pledges also have the honor of planning decorations for the affair, and with the honor being all theirs, we outsiders, activeE included, can only guess at what is in store. Bart-the-bard-Rodgers and his wandering minstrels will do the musical honors. A refreshing and strangely Arabian beverage is now being concocted and will be served to the guests later this evening. When one of the actives was khaki-clad and sojourning in Arabia he picked up the recipe. Here's fair warning: it contains beet juice! JQP Supported By Junior Dues Finance Committee To Contact Women Collection of junior dues by the finance committee of JGP will continue until Monday, Nov. 22. Payment of junior dues is re- quired of those juniors who wish to participate in JGP. During the dues drive, members of the finance committee, under the direction of Shirley Osgood will contact all junior women on campus personally. Juniors living in private homes may contribute their dues from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15 and 22. Basketball Club-An organiza- tional meeting will be held at 4 p.m. today in Barbour Gym. Play for everyone, with inexperi- ence no barrier, will be stressed, accoridng to the new manager, Jeri Mulsen. The club will be organized in two sections, be- ginning and advanced. Teams will be set up within each division to offer competition on all levels. No definite teams will be or- ganized at the first meeting but there will be an opportunity to play for all those attending. * * * La-Crosse Club-The last meet- ing will be held at 4:15 p.m. today at Palmer Field.
