Gripman said that the program had demonstrated its worth and would be resumed at the next registration. The students who participated in the program received the same privileges as regular orientation advisors, including early registra- tion and meals. VA Asks Lawyer for Proof of Communist Influence Charge WASHINGTON-(1)-The Veterans Administration said toda it has asked Kit Clardy, attorney for the Michigan Aviation Associa- tion, to "substantiate" his charges of Communist infiltration in th VA. Clardy was quoted in the Lansing, Mich., State Journal as saying that the VA policy regarding G.I. flight training is "shaped by Com- munistic influence."
