With Tourney The first of the WAA intra- murals will begin with the open- ing of the volleyball tournament next week. Striving to beat the 1946 rec- ord of 70 teams, the athletic man- agers will meet at 5 p.m. tomor- row in the WAB to list their re- spective teams and time prefer- ences for the tournament. Touses may enter as many teams as they wish, subject only to minimum team membership of 10 persons and a maximum of 12 including substitutes. In charge of the intramural pro- gram will be Margaret Frostic, in- tramural manager 2-2591. Jan Olivier, 4089, will head the coming tournament. Other information concerning the Tournament may be obtained by calling sorority manager, Helen Hubbard, 2-4515, or league house manager, Mar- garet MacDougall, 2-2281. All teams which remain in the tournament and do not default will be given WAA participation credit for their houses. Special provision will be made this year for students living in private homes and for league houses without teams who wish to participate in the tourna- ment. These coeds may sign this week on special sheets which will be placed on the bulletin board in Barbour Gym. From these sheets special teams will be composed and members noti- field. Another innovation will be the opening of Barbour Gym for team volleyball practice from 1:30 to 5 p.m. week days and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Managers or team captains may sign for practice times on the Barbour bulletin board.
