Championships in their respective divisions for the second year in a
row last Saturday at the University Golf Course.
Phi Delta Phi's total of 327 was just one point over the sanding

Robert Hamilton's 79 was low
in the field of over 300 golfers. His
score along with John McGrath's
80, Charles Menninger's 82, and
Henry Eager's 86, accounted for
the Phi Delta Phi's pace-setting
total. Hamilton and Eager played
on the winning squad last year
also. -
Phi Alpha Kappa was the only
other team entered in this divi-
sion. They were awarded second
place with an even 400 as the
team score.
Norm Jackson, Bob Williams,
and Ted Morford each carded an
88 for the Phi Delt's ana combined
with Bruce Dutcher's 83 gave
them their league-leading score.
Beta Second
Beta Theta Pi was a close sec-
ond with a total of 348, followed
by Alpha Tau Omega with 351,
Phi Gamma Delta with 355, and
Chi Psi with 357.
In the Residence Hall division
Adams House replaced Hinsdale
as champion by coming in with a
team score of 380.
Adams House on Top
Cliff Clark's 91, Bill Longe's 93,
and Bob Lemmer's 93 helped to
put Adams House on top. Lloyd
House held down the runner-up
slot with a 382 total, while Ray
Roof's 93 gave the third place
position to Prescott with a collec-
tive score of 385.
Strauss House, Michigan House,
and Chicago House tied for fourth
place with team scores of 390 each.
Tom Howell shot a 90 for Chicago
House, and Bill Kuhn of Michigan
House went around in 94.
Mis-fits Win
The Mis-fits won the Indepen-
dent division title with a total of
355, while the Newman Club's 361

was good enough for the runner-
up spot.
The 22 low men in this tourna-
ment were picked to compete for
the Individual All-Campus title.I

the 16 lowest golfers participate
for the honor, but the plan was

ures Greene House has clinched
the Residence Hall Intramural
Sports Championship for the
third year in a row. At Neef,
Greene House sports director,
continued the tradition this
year that Leroy Daggs started
in 1945-46 and repeated in
1946-47.
The athletes from Michigan
House, who placed 14th in
last year's competition rose all
{ the way to second place this
year under the direction of Stu
Hertzberg. Michigan House got
most of its points from seconds
and thirds, taking a first in
only one sport, foul shooting.
Vaughan House has shown
remarkable improvement this
semester under Roger DeMer-
itt. They have two firsts now
and a chance for three more.
