Positions open include presi- dent, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, A.F.C.W. representa- tive, participation, interhouse manager, dormitory manager, league house manager, sorority manager, Daily publicity and general publicity. Managerships of clubs include archery, basketball, ballet, modern dance, hockey, softball, and ten- nis. Other posts include badmin- tion, camp counselors, fencing, golf, ice skating, outing, rifle, swimming and table tennis.. Special petition forms will be used for the petitions. These will be available at the meeting and also in the Undergraduate Of- fice of the League. Petitions are due at noon Sat- urday in the Undergraduate Of- fice. Interviews will begin Monday, March 22, in the WAB Offices. ih . viiii 11 j 114 C OUSIIS Sigma Nu's To Celebrate Ancient Rivalry The "whitefeet" of Sigma Nu and "blackfeet" of Alpha Tau Omega can both be traced back to standard military regulations existing at Virginia Military In- stitute in the latter 19th cen- tury when the fraternities were founded. The Sigma Nu's, who were orig- inally bedecked in white boots at VMI, will celebrate the ancient "black" and "white" rivalry this year with their annual White Rose Formal to be given from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday in the Ballroom and Grand Rapids room of the League. Over 300 Guests Invited The ATO's who wore the black boots at the military institution, will attend the function as well as over 300 invited guests, including presidents of fraternities, sorori- ties, presidents of various campus organizations and editors of. cam- pus publications. Albion and Mich- igan State Sigma Nu's will also be invited. The "white rose" atmosphere will be carried out in full in deco- rations and novel programs, while Pat Pascal, popular Detroit band- master, will hold forth with the nusic.
