M- A-DtY 3DLElthj R 1-4'1 917 THE ItH, N AR Y Union Council Will Present Annual Christmas Formal The 18th annual formal spon- sored by the Union executive council will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight today in the Union ballroom. Tickets for the dance may still )e purchased at the main desk in the Union lobby. Frank Tinker and his orches- tra, who have been featured at the Union for the past two years will provide music for dancing. New vocalist, Margeann, will al- so be featured in Union ball- room favorites. Decorations have been planned to include over 10,000 feet of color- ed streamers, the most extensive scheme since pre-war Union for"- mals. Traditionally, gardenia cor- sages will be presented to all women attending the dance and candid shots of couples will be taken by a local photographer. Intermission entertainment will include Frank Anderson playing boogie woogie piano and the Var- sity quartet singing several fav- orite college songs. .The quartet is composed of 1st tenor, Row- land McLauglin; 2nd tenor, Bill Phebus; baritone, Jack Jensen and bass, Bill Jenson.
