Bill must comply with the regu- larly prescribed standards and practices of the educational in- stitutions during their period of enrollment, the Veterans Admin- istration warned recently. The VA adymitted that in the past, cases of willful misconduct or unsatisfactory progress have been negligible and most student veterans have attained academic marks equal to or above non-vet- eran students.0} It pointed out, however, that government paid tuition to an ed- ucational institution does not place the veteran in a special privileged class. Student veterans must abide by all the rules and regulations of the institutions where they are enrolled and maintain satisfac- tory academic marks, the VA said. Willful misconduct or unsatis- factory progress are grounds for wtihdrawal of subsistence and tuition payments, it declared. After a converted G.I. insur- ance policy has been in effect for one year, an insured veteran may apply for a loan or for the cash surrender value, according to the Veterans Administration.
