FIVE LEAGUE positions are now open to.-undergraduate women, it was announced by Jo Reuland, president of the Interviewing Committee. Parents Announce Recent Marriage Mr. and Mrs. Miles B. Coghlan of Riverside, Illinois., announce the marriage of their daughter, Dawn Patricia, to Ens. Fritz H. Hediger, USN, of Bronxville, N.Y. Both the bride and groom are re- cent graduates of the University. Mr. Hediger was affiliated with Sigma Alpha Epsilon. At present the couple is living in Pearl Har- bor, where the bridegroom is sta- tioned. Openings for senior women in- :lude a .position on Judiciary Council and ballroom chairman in charge of the Casbah. A junior s needed as costume chairman for' JGP. Two positions are open to sophomores, assistant floor show chairman and dance chairman of Soph Cabaret. Any coed interested in the latter should have dancing experi- ence and be able to teach. There will be no petitioning for these positions. Selections will be made from personal interviews, which will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. tomorrow in the Undergrad- uate Office of the League. Coeds are urged to sign for interviews immediately on list posted in the office. PETITIONS for positions on the annual Panhel Ball committee must be submitted by noon Satur- day to the Panhellenic box in the Undergraduate Office of the League. Affiliated women are urged to try for the eight positions open, which include general chairman, assistant chairman in charge of finance, patrons, programs, deco- rations, publicity, refreshments, and tickets. Persanal interviews with all petitioners will be held by mem- bers of the Panhellenic Board next week in the Panhel Office on the third floor of the League. Women may sign up for inter- views now or when they submit petitions on sheets posted in the Undergraduate Office. Appointments may be made for the following times: 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, and 3 to 6 p.m. Friday. Sorority Rushing Heads ToMeet An important meeting of all rushing chairmen and assistants of all houses interested in infor- mal rushing will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Garden Room of the League. WAA sport clubs and tourna- ments are planning this year's schedule of activities, which are open to all women on campus. Old and prospective members of Crop and Saddle are urged to at- tend the organizational meeting at 5 p.m. today at the WAB. ac- cording to Pat Peter, manager. Crop and Saddle is open to all women on campus who have had some experience in riding. First semester freshmen are eligible to participate. Activities of the club will include weekly rides, social rides with Boots and Spurs, supper rides, and practice in horsemanship. The annual Horse Show. pre- ,ented jointly with Boots and Spurs, is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 18. Among the classes in the show will be pairs, beginners, Crop and Saddle horse- manship, Boots and Spurs horse- manship, and open three-gaited. Timers and Scorers will meet at 5 p.m. today at Barbour Gym to receive instructions for the volleyball tournament. Each team participating in the tour- nament is required to have a timer or scorer or both. Ann Arbor women and those living in private homes who wish to participate in the forthcoming volleyball tournament may reg- ister in Office 15, Barbour Gym. These applicants will be placed on teams and will be informed of scheduled games. All names must be in by Saturday noon. * ** The annual All-campus Wom- en's Swimming Meet will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, at the Union Pool. Scheduled events will include 25 yd. free style, 25 yd. back- stroke, 25 yd. back crawl, 50 yd. free style, 50 yd. back stroke, and 50 yd. back crawl. Diving contest will include a running front dive, back dive, and an optional dive. A 100 yd. free- style relay with four members on a team will be another event.
