Will Dance



Tony Pastor and his orchestra
will be the featured attraction at
Assembly's A-Hop, a man bid,
semi-formal dance to be held from
9 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov.
8, in the Intramural Building.
Pastor has been in the public
eye ever since he found himself
appointed as leader of the old Ar-
.tie Shaw orchestra.
Stubby Pastor, youngest bro-
ther of the maestro, who is
ranked as one of the five best
trumpet sidemen in music, will
do solfs in the Pastor style.

The Pastor orchestra has always
featured an outstanding drum-
aier, and will present Henry Riggs
in this position at A-Hop. Higgs
was featured in the Pastor record-
ing, "Paradiddle Joe." The Cloon-
ey sisters, Pastor's own "find," will
furnish the vocals.
The purpose of A-Hop is to
~aise money for the University
Fresh Air Camp, traditional As-
.;mbly project. This dance is an
-innual Assembly affair, and was
called "Time Out" last year.

Tickets for A-Hop will go on
sale tomorrow in University
hall and at the Michigan Union.
