Bill MacGowan, who led the cheerleaders during football sea- son, teamed with Lyle Clark for a workout on the buck, as well as the side and long horse. Bal- ancing acts done by Neff and Dick Fashbaugh were loudly applauded by the audience, along with a routine of tumbling by cheer- leaders Dave Lake, Bob Willough- by, and Bob Schoendube. Climaxing the clinic was an exhibition on the trampoline by the same versatile trio who starred in tumbling. Front and back somersaults, twists, pullovers and flips were displayed to many in the crowd who had never seen this piece of apparatus. Michigan's muscle men will have a chance to show their stuff on December 18 when the annual All- Campus Wrestling Tournament gets under way at the Yost Field House. Cliff Keen, varsity wrestling coach, is sponsoring the affair and urges all aspiring grapplers to sign up. Gold medals will be awarded to the winners in each of the eight weight divisions. Any regularly enrolled student in the University is eligible to com- pete. Members of this year's mat squad may enter the tourney with the exception of the returning let- termen who will referee the matches. Eight Divisions Competition will be in the fol- lowing weight divisions: 124, 131, 139, 148, 158, 168, 178, and heavy- weight. Each bout will consist of three two-minute periods and the National Inter-collegiate rules will be observed. , Weighing in will take place on December 17, with the prelimi- Hold Those Bonds! naries and quarter finals sched- uler for December 18 and the semis and finals for December 19. The drawings will be made right before the tourney. The tournament should provide a lot of thrill for everyone entered. Coach Keen said that the men on the squad will get a chance to "get some competition under their belts" before the regular season opens in January. However, the result of the matches will not be conclusive toward selecting.a team. Illinois Takes 44 To Rose Bowl Tilt CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Dec. 7-(/P)- The Western Conference has giv- en permission for a squad of 44 Illinois players to make the Rose Bowl trip, Coach Ray Eliot said today. The squad will practice five days in the Illinois Armory be- fore leaving by train for Pasa- dena Dec. 20. They are scheduled to arrive in time to open drill Dec. 23.
