Tickets may be purchased all day today in the office of Miss McCormicf, social director of the League, and from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m. in the booth provided in the League lobby. Sales will be car- ried on from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at the League booth. The Office of the Dean of Women will extend late permis- sion until 1:30 a.m. to all women attending "Open Sesame." This dance is one of the few presented on campus to which women in- vite dates. The dance arrangements of Sonny Dunham and his orches- tra will provide music for the eve- ning. Bandleader Dunham does many of his own musical arrange- ments besides playing both the trombone and trumpet. The committee has planned elaborate decorations to carry out the Arabian theme of "Open Sesame." Novel programs de- signed to carry out the dance theme will be distributed to coeds and refreshments will be available in Barbour gymnasium. Patrons for the affair will be President and Mrs. A. G. Union Formal 'Will Be Given 'Dec. 13, 14 For the first time in the history of Union sponsored dances, the Union Executive Council will pre- sent a two night Union Formal from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14 in the Union Ballroom. To accommodate a larger pro- portion of i he student body, coup- les are limited to one night at- tendance. Tickets will be limited to 450 eacc night, and are to be available only to those holding Union cards. Ticket Sales The sale of tickets will open fromn3 to 5 p.m. tomorrow at the Union desk. Men are required to present their Union cards for stamping 4t the time of purchase. A maximum of 200 tickets will be sold each day. Intermission entertainment is being planned in which compus talent will be featured. Corsages will be presented to each couple at the door. Tinker To Play Frank Tinker and his 14-piece orchestra, featuring the vocals of Patti DuPont, will play for the event. Co-chairmen for the formal are George Shaffer and Milan Mis- kovsky. Other chairmen include Jerry Comer. Brad Straatma, Dick Cortright, Allan Farnsworth, Eugene Sikorovsky, Arthur Der- Derian, Andrew Poledor and Louis Lapierre. For Interviewing Petitions for three junior and two sophomore positions on the League - Interviewing Committee are due aT noon Monday in the Undergraduate Office of the League. Women chosen for these posts will compose the junior and sen- ior membership of the new com- mittee which has been set up to conduct all petitioning and inter- viewing for League Council and committee posts. Coeds now hold- ing junior positions in the League are eligible for the Interviewing Committee positions. Interview Schedule Interviews for applicants for committee posts will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in the Council Room. Ten-minute interviews are to be held, and each coed petitioning should sign for an interviewing time when she hands in her peti- tion. An eligibility card signed by the Merit -Tutorial Committee of the League must be presented at the interview. The Interviewing Committee is to consist of seven members, in- Committee eluding two seniors, three juniors, and two sophomodes. The senior members will hold the posts of chairman and secretary. Rotating Membership A rotating membership plan is to be followed whereby two junior members will be appointed to the senior posts each year, with one sophomore receiving a junior ap- pointment. "This plan will give a continuity of membership neces- sary for ;such an organization," Jean Louise Hole, chairman of the Women's Judiciary Council, said. The Judiciary group will con- tinue its function of supervision of house rules, with its former work of conducting interviewing and petitioning being carried on by the newly-formed Interviewing Committee. . Mrs. Rex Parker, Alpha Phi governor of district four from To- ronto, will be visiting on campus today through Thursday. An alumnae dessert will be pre- sented in her honor today at the Alpha Phi house and a special lheoan will be given at noon. For students finding them- selves confined to campus for the holiday, the Union Executive Council will sponsor a Thanksgiv- ing Dance from 9 p.m. to midnight tomorrow in the Union Ballroom.
