Boutonnieres To Be Sold It will be necessary to present Assembly Membership Cards at the time of purchase; and stubs may be bought at the same time which will entitle holders to bou- tonnieres for their escorts at the dance. Members of Senior Society, hon- orary group for independent se- nior women, will distribute the flowers at the beginning of the evening. Tucker To Play Music for the semi-formal affair will be provided by Tommy Tucker and his orchestra, featuring Don Brown, baritone, and Kerwin Som- erville, novelty singer. Introduced throughout the country by the familiar phrase, "It's Tommy Tucker Time," the band plans to present its new and complete li- brary of arrangements, including music both sweet and swing. The theme of the dance, "High Tide," will be carried out in deco- rations, consisting of fish netting and fish caricatures, as well as in entertainment. Highlight of the evening will be the crowning of a "King Neptune," who will be chosen from ticket stubs. during intermission. The "Easter Parade", a style show given by a local department store, will be presented at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the University Community Building at Willow Run. The affair, sponsored by the University of Michigan Student Veterans' Wives Club, will be open to the public without charge. Models will be wives of student veterans at Willow Village, and will wear beach and casual clothes, spring suitsand dress coats, and evening dresses. Mrs. Thomas V. League Plans All-Campus Mixer Dance All independent women on campus, whether living in dorms, league houses or private homes, may attend the league dance to be held from 2 to 5 p.m. tomor- row in the League ballroom. Tickets will be on sale from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. today in the League lobby. They will also be on sale at the ball- room door tomorrow. This is the third in a series of Saturday afternoon mixers sponsored by league house women and formerly called league house dances. They will be held every two weeks in the future. All men on campus are invited to attend the dances as guests of the coeds. Refreshments will be served and card tables will'be set up for those who wish to play. Popular rec- ords will supply the music for dancing. Several cut-in dances have been planned. Women are urged to dress informally. According to Blanche Berger, chairman of the league dances, "All independent women are urg- ed to come to this affair to dance, spend a pleasant afternoon andl meet other students." Members of the mechanical engineering department will be guests at the Union student-fac- ulty tea to be held at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 in the Union Terrace Room. The night club will be open from 9 p.m. to midnight both to- day and tomorrow in the League Ballroom. Al Townsend and his orchestra, featuring Lois Roberts as vocalist and Cliff Hoff on the tenor sax, will provide music for the dancers. The entertainment will head- line the performance of Tom Lough, boogie-woogie stylist, who has been a feature of previous Casbah and Union dance pro- grams. Al Townsend and his or- chestra will also play their new arrangement of "Solitude," star- ring the Symphonaires. Dancers will be served refresh- ments at the League coke grill. The meeting is very im- portant and all members of the chorus must attend, according to Nancy Neumann, dance chairman. TU LE Couzens Hall, for many years the residence of student nurses, has this year become the home of 30 women students from all colleges in the University. These 30 students are living in rooms scattered through the. dormitory to enable them to be- come better acquainted with the 235 nurses there. The nursing students have their meals at the University Hospital cafeteria, while the non-nursing residents eat at Mosher-Jordan. In all other dormitory activi- ties, both nurses and non-nurs- ing students participate equal- ly. Both groups take part in the Couzens Hall choral club, athletic activities, and hold of- fices in the student government organization. The dormitory has a regular schedule of social activities, in- cluding bi-weekly teas and week- ly snack parties which are de- signed to help the residents be- come better acquainted. A tea the first week of school served to introduce formally all the new students in the house. In addi- tion, dances are held there on an average of one every two weeks. Troth Revealed The engagement of Miss Jeanne Mueller to Mr. Allen Schall, son of Mrs. Rita Schall of Saginaw has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Nicholas of Park Ridge, Ill. Miss Mueller is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Mr. Schall is affilia- ted with Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. The recreational facilities of the dormitory provide places where the residents may become acquainted in informal social gatherings. In addition to the library, reading room, and liv- ing room, there is a recreation room where students may play cards, read, and listen to the radio.
