Adhering to a new policy, Installa- tion Night will not feature a guest speaker but will be solely concerned with the announcement of those women who will serve as members of League Council, Judiciary Council and as League Junior assistants. In addition, the central committee and chairmen of JGPlay and Soph Cab- aret will be 'revealed. Other positions to be announced include members of Panhellenic and Assembly Board and orienta- tion advisers. Honor societies in- eluding Mortorboard, Senior So- ciety, open to independent senior women, and Scroll, for affiliated senior women, will tap. This year, the honor societies will go directly to the women they are to tap and will dispense with a "tour" through the lecture hall which was an an- nual feature of the tapping pro- cedure. Following Installation Night, a re- ception will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the League Ballroom to which all women on campus are invited. Free cokes will be served and the new League Council members, Judiciary members and newly-tapped members of the various honor societies will be on hand to meet those who attend. Since more women petitioned1 this spring for activity positions for 1946-4 than ever before, it is ex- pected that a record-breaking crowd will attend Installation Night and the reception in the League which will follow the an- nouncement of those who have been appointed to committees, ac- cording to Betty Vaughn, vice- president of League Council. Sororities have been requested to make Installation Night a house function or count it as a chapter meeting.
