Positions open include president, vice -president, secretary, treasurer, merit-tutorial chairman, personnel chairman, social chairman, fresh- man orientation advisors' chairman, transfer orientation advisors' chair- man, publicity chairman, and drives chairman. New Post Open The president, vice-president, sec- retary, and treasurer serve on the Executive Council of the League Council. The publicity chairmanship has just been created this year, and any original ideas for the functions of this position would be especially welcome. Ruthann Bales, Judiciary chair- man, said, "A year's acquaintance- ship with League activities and an active interest and aathorough knowl- edge of the position in which the can- didate desires membership are pri- mary qualifications for all of these positions. DeVine and his; "Thirteen Men and a Girl" last played at the University at the New Year's Eve Dance, and has recently played engagements at the Jackson Armory and hotel ball- rooms in Flint, Lansing, and Battle Creek. His band is the Michigan State College campus band, and Miss Margaret McQueary, Michigan State coed, is the featured vocalist. This year'& semi-formal dance will be open to all medical students re- gardless of class. In keeping with Michigan tradition, no corsages will be worn at the dance except by com- mittee members and their guests. Interviewing will take place April 22, 23, 24, 26. The interviews are to last ten minutes and each candidate will have an opportunity to elabor- ate on the plans and ideas incorpor- ated in her petition. Each candidate must present an eligibility card signedby the Merit- Tutorial Committee at the interview and is asked to submit at that time the names of three references, a house director, a faculty memnber, and an upperclass' woman.
