All tickets to the game have been sold out for weeks. Leading sports writers, radio announcers and col- lege and professional coaches will sit with the 34,788 fans who usually jam Griffith Stadium for every Redskin home game. The Redskins are favored but the Giants may spring another upset comparable to their startling 28-21 victory over Philadelphia's Eagles last week. The Giants are out of the title hunt, but Coach Steve Owen, famous for strong finishes, long has had Washington's number. In five final-day meetings with the Redskins, Owen's Giants have won four. And in their over-all series dat- ing back to 1937, the Owenmen have won 11 of 17 games, with one tie. The Redskins will trot out for the 2 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) kickoff holding full possession of first place in the Eastern Division of the National League. The Mohawks put on the pressure, and Andy Blair banged the puck past Jack McInnes, Wolverine netman, for a score. Michigan again went into the lead in the last minute of the period when Jacobson passed from in back of the net to MacMillan who scored for the Wolverines. This time the Mohawks were short-handed with Vic Bishop off the ice for kneeing. However, Owen Sound again knotted the count at the start of the second stanza, when Cecil Shears tallied. Until this point the game had been a dog-fight, with the outcome very much in doubt. Wolverines Score Five However the Wolverines then went on a scoring spree to tally five count- ers.
