It will take the place of the mnatch with Northwestern, slated for the 'same dlate. It will also be the first time in many years that the Maize and Blue have mnet a wrestling suad from Minnesota.- Minnesota Is IPowerfuli 'Minnesota officials got in touch with Corkey just re~'ently and asked for one nmatch wtith hisltem. This meeting with the Gophiers is ot def- finite yet, but the 'Only thing lacking is absolute confirmation from Minne- sota. 1ron all retorts, the Gophers have a power-laden team, composed of many veter ans who h ave been transferred there in iitary pro- grams. This aggregation from Minneapolis is coached by Stanley Blenson, once one of the best wrestlrs in the con- try. Henson wrestled at Oklahoma A and M, winning the Nationals 'in the 145-pound division for three years, He was also on the :American team which toured Europe, and coached, the plebes at the Naval Academy before coming to Minnesota. Therefore, the' Wolverines can look for a scrappy and well-drilled team when Henson brings his boys to 'town Plan Squad M~atchs Today The matmen have gone, through another week of intensive drills, and will climax this week today when they have their fourth intr-squad match of the current campaign. The boys have worked on 'take-downs, pinning holds, anid other fundanmen- tals all week in preparation for this 'meet. The next mwatch for the Michigan gr'applers will be with the Boiler- makers of Purdue, Jan. 29, if this meet is not also called off before tlilesci wdalldt tue arr ive.
