Blue" Bird' Has Peculiar. PropT rouble Strange indeed are the problems confronting Helene Herzfeld, '42, properties head for Play Production's forthcoming presentation of Maeter- linek's "The Blue Bird." Faced Cith the curious necessity of finding not only a live bluebird, but also daisies an4, aples as big as tables, Miss Herzfeld is, to say the least, slightly puzzled. In addition to such properties, she must see to the making of hundreds of organdy lilies for a *graveyard scene. These must be constructed in such a way as to spring out of the tobstones in a cloud of smoke, and all this at a moment's notice. One of the other principal unsolved problem is this: the play calls for a grou'p of bircds, black of color and happy with life, to be transformed in. a trice to birds, blue of color and deader than proverbial doornails. Now, how can it be done without making somebody a dastardly killer oi defenseless animals? 4 The list of overwlelming require- *ments does 'not even end here. It seems of vital importance that some- where the group obtain a life-size stuffed cat and a dog of the same variety. Anyone who thinks that -this last prcblem is simple will be wel- / come to so say, providing they can help Helene out of her predicame:it. Prof. Ney comb To Talk Before Hillel Group Prof. Theodore M.
