Temperature Rising In Red Cross Drive f . I ,! ;{ ;I T t 1 Believe it or not, and snow not- withstanding, the mercury is rising .mi the Red Cross thermometer which is set up on the chart in the League lobby, to the point of $440.75, Elizabeth Luckham, '42. has an- nounced. Almost $200 over the latest report, the ever-rising total indicates the success of the drive on campus. The chart lists Stockwell Hall as top con- tributor with $74.95, Martha Cook running a close second with $68.75. These two groups lead the dormi- tories and all campus organizations in amounts contributed. Model Proves Worth Dressed as a Red Cross volunteer worker, and not using compulsion at all, the model stationed only a few feet from the chart, has collected $11.69 by means of the little box held in her outstretched hand. Rosalie Smith, '42, will be inMiss Ethel McCormick's office in the Lea- gue from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, at which time sorority representatives are to bring in to her, money collected thus far in the drive. Someone will be on duty at a table in the lobby from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today to sell memberships, and also from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day next week. Must Report Totals Alpha Chi Omega and Collegiate Sorosis still lead the sorority group, with $29 and $22 respectively. The chart records the amounts turned in to the various organizations, if, and only if, the representative of Red Cross in that group has reported to Miss Smith if a sorority, Mary Brownrigg, '44, if a league house. Miss Luckham stressed the fact that unless cooperation may be ob- tained from these women who repre- sent Red Cross and are collecting the money, the chart and the ther- mometer will mean nothing.. w Nith RIK UZARD GABARDINE teams with lux. \ urious, beautifully marked Ring Lizard!
