If the student does not Knox Will Visit .Detroit Region For Navy Day By JAMES CONANT This year Navy Day is more than just another "day" to celebrate-it's a lot more. And it will be observed accordingly throughout the country. Headlining' tomorrow's activities in this area, Secretary of the Navy Knox will be in Detroit for Navy Day. He will review a ]Navy Day parade and in addition, speak at a luncheon at the Hotel Statler. His address will be broadcast over NC at 1:30 p.m. 1 And there's an unusual twist to Secretary Knox's visit. He will review the parade tomorrow morning : not from a reviewing stand, but from a destroyer. It will be a dry-land "de- stroyer," a 120-foot replica of a Navy ship. As the Secretary of the Navy goes aboard, he will be piped over the side in accordance with Navy tra- dition; the sideboys will come to at- tention, and a salute of 19 guns will be fired.
