_________YTHE MICHIGAN DAILY SATURDAY .oCro MUER k5, 194t 'Counterfeit' Ticket Scare C t( Stirs Campus A small lack cf knowledge threw r a big scare into th' Athletic Admin-c istration yesterday- -at least for a few minutes. First inkling of the rumpus was received at 3 a.m. yesterday morning in The Daily when a student tele- phoned in-much too late-to say that counterfeit football tickets were being sold and a story should be printed. Checking up on the facts at a more reasonable hopr, The Daily called Harry Tillotson who said he had also heard the rumor but before collaps- ing from these further complications he had found the answer. . The answer was that two students saw some tickets being sold in Detroit with green instead of orange smark- ings. Immediately they suspected a poor job of counterfeiting, and pro- ceeded to report it. Not until the scare was started did the truth come out ithat the tickets printed in green were simply for box seats. Two more University students were apprehended by police yesterday for 'scalping. biggest laugh of the whole ticket story is the police department's "Ex- hibit A"-about 20 tickets confiscated from arrested scalpers. They'll be in the police safe at game time today. Evidence, the police say. Graduate OutinA Club Plans Trip The Graduate Outing Club Will its member .
