Although Dr. Holmes was trained as a general chemist, and much of his early research was done in the field of colloid chemistry, his tall' will largely be on the subject of bio- chemistry. As Dr. Holmes was among the isolators of crystalline vitamin A, and as he has done much work in this field in later years, the emphasis in his lecture will be on the vitamins. Although his talk will of necessity deal with semi-technical subjects, Dr. Holmes' reputation as a speaker who can make his audience understand whereof he speaks should encourage those not well versed in the topic to attend. Here Is In Today's Summary News Third of the alleged trio accused of shooting Lewis Osborn, municipal golf course manager in an attempted holdup last Friday night, was ar- rested Saturday in Ypsilanti. Denying any part on the robbery, attempt, the youth was nevertheless implicated by the other two boys already in police custody, and was identified by Osborn. Ann Arbor drivers were warned yesterday that they must yield the right of way to vehicles with sirens. Chief of Police Mortenson said that police and firemen have been ex- periencing considerable difficulty be- cause motorists either refuse to pull over, or do not do so fast enough. An ordinance which makes the yielding of right of way compulsory is on the books, the Chief' warned, and it will be strictly enforced.
