THE MICHIGAN DAILY U Wreck Inquiry Continues LANSING, Oct. 9. -)- Coroner Harry Leadley said tonight the cause of the Grand Trunk Western Railway freight train accident here Tuesday which killed a 13-year-old boy and injured 12 probably would not be determined "until Saturday or Mon- day." He said railroad officials informed him today that a cdmpany inquiry of train crew members at Battle Creek would not be completed before the weekend. On the basis of crew mem- *bers' statements, Leadley said, he would determine whether to order an r inquest into the death of James Smith, 13, of Lansing. "I think there's no question that it was either an open switch or a faulty wheel which caused the wreck,"' * the coroner said.
