Will Be Directe

Prof. William D. Revelli, conduc-
tor of the Michigan Band, will direct
the fourth annual Instrumental Mu-
sic Clinic to be held here Saturday
and Sunday with more than 300 band
and orchestra directors throughout
the country expected to attend.
Originated here by Ifrofessor Re-
velli four years ago, the Clinic has
grown in size and importance. It
is sponsored jointly by the University
School of Music and the Michigan
Band and Orchestra Association, and
its purpose is to familiarize widely
divergent music groups with the lat-
est in band and orchestra music.
Carlton L. Stewart, whose name
was previously erroneously an-
nounced, will act as guest conductor
during the convention. Mr. Stewart
is director of instrumental music
in the Mason City, Iowa, schools.
Kforton Gould, noted New York Com-
poser who visited here last spring,
will return for the Clinic.
During the. Clinic the University
Concert Band, conducted by Profes-
sor Revelli, will read band selections
from the National High School Fes-
tival required list for 1941 competi-

The Detroit Armenian Women's
Club Scholarship: Young men or wo-
nen undergraduate students who are
enrolled this year, who are of Armen-
ian parentage, and whose residenge
is in Detroit may apply for the schol-
arship of $100 which the Detroit
Armenian Women's Club intends to
provide for the year 1941-42. Candi-
dates must be recommended by the
institutions in which they are en-
rolled. Selection, which is made' by
the donors, is on the basis of high
scholastic ability in the field of con-
centration, together with character.
Recommendations must be made be-
fore May 1, 1941. Students who be-
lieve themselves qualified and seek
recommendation by this University
