By Campus Groups
Howling ghosts will be forgotten
tonight as the different campus
groups continue with a more sane
social whirl.
Alumnae House will hold a "Bow-
ery Brawl" tonight. Mrs. Charles
Clarke, Mrs. Florence Preston and
Mrs. Mary Mitchell will chaperon
the affair.
Delta Tau Delta will hold their
annual pledge formal tonight with
Hal Carter's orchestra furnishing the
music. Chaperons will be Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer H. Raab and Mr. and
Mrs. D. R. Jeffers.
A radio dance will be presented by
Phi Kappa Sigma7 tonight. Mr. and
Mrs. Hugo Hagermeyer and Mr. and
Mrs. N. R. Appleton will chaperon.
Another pledge formal is to be held
tonight by the members of Phi Sig-
ma Delta. Harvey Jones and his
orchestra will play for the dance.

Hostesses Are Named For PACI T-Dance

At Paul Bunyan
'Formal' Today
Forestry Club Dance Honors
Legendary North Woodsman;
Rural Style Clothes Appropriate
"Tux, ties, tails-taboo!" is the
byword tonight at the Paul Bunyan
"Formal," Forestry Club dance open
to the general public for the first
time in its history which will be
held from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the
League.
Named in honor of the gigantic
woodsman of Northern folklore, the
dance will feature complete informal-
ity. Those attending will wear the
attire of foresters or other rural'
characters. Some time during the
evening, Bill Gail's orchestra will
leave their places on the bandstand
and will be replaced by a small hill-
billy band made up of foresters for a
period of square dancing.
Decorations will carry out the gen-
eral theme, the feature of which is
a series of four large murals show-
ing stages in the lumbering process.
Boughs and pieces of actual lumber-
ing equipment will complete the dec-
orations.

maize and blue, will drape the ball-
room while a huge replica of the
Michigan Union pin which every
Michigan man wears in his coat lapel
will be seen behind the orchestra
platform. Novelty dance programs
will be given to each guest.
The floor show, which will follow
supper at 11 p.m. will feature the
dance team of Shirlann and Stann,
"musical maniacs" Gregory and Ray-
mond, and the "All-American Boys"
Carter and Holmes. Tables placed
aroundthetdance floor will enable
the diners to witness the floor show
from their places.

Four autographed footballs, a base-
ball, and a basketball will be pre-
sented as door prizes by Tom Har-
mon, '41, Forest Evashevski, '41, Her-
bert Brogan, '4lEd, and Bill Step-
pon, '4lEd. Each prize will be auto-
graphed by the members of the re-
spective teams.
Hobby Lobby Tea
To Be Held Today
A Hobby Lobby tea, sponsored by
the WAA will be held today in the
Women's Athletic Building, announ-
ced Gertrude Inwood, '43, president
of the Outdoor Club.
There will be a display of handi-
craft to encourage all women on cam-
pus who are interested in this hobby
to come and decide which craft they
might be interested in learning.
All college women are invited to
attend the tea, and sign up for dif-
ferent afternoon handicraft classes.
The motto is "To make your own
Christmas present, develop a hobby,
and learn new handicrafts."
