Saturday. They were inspired and.
showed their desire to win that game
from Michigan State in no uncertain
manner.
Aside from that, Michigan should
not worry unduly about defeating
Bachman's troop next Saturday.

Germans Capture
DanishFreighters
COPENHAGEN, Sept. 30.-(P)-
German warships today seized three
Danish freighters in the Kattegat and
took them to a German port, accord-
ing to a report from the lightship at
Laeso Island.
(The Kattegat is a stretch of sea
between Denmark and Sweden. A
German High Command communique
earlier today said that 45 vessels had
been searched for contraband in the
Kattegat and Skagerrak-between
Denmark and Norway-and "a num-
ber of them were captured.")
Word from the lightship said that
German destroyers could be seen
plainly as they took the steamers
Rota, Diana and Lyneas.

Leche Is Indicted
For Fund Misuse
RUSTON, La., Sept. 30.-(AP)-For-
mer Governor Richard W. Leche and
four others, all prime favorites of the
Huey Long political machine, were
charged today with operating a con-
fidence game at the expense of the
state.
The Lincoln Parish Grand Jury
returned an indictment charging the
quintet obtained $27,000 by false pre-
tenses in the 'signing of a contract
for Leche Hall Administration Build-
ing at Louisiana Polytechnic Insti-
tute.
Today's was the second indictment
against Leche since he resigned June
26, at the beginning of Widesp*ead
investigations into the Louisna
State administration.
