Edmonson of Cam- ridge- Rd., and Donald King Lewis, son of Mis. C. K. Lewis of Mt. Pleas- at and the late Mr. Lewis, took place in the First Presbyterian church, Aug. 9. Dr. William P. Lem- on, pastor of the church, read the service. Mrs. Lewis' bridesmaids were the Misses Judy Trosper, '37, Betty Anne Beebe, '37, Viginla Graham and Jean Bonisteel, '38, of Ann Arbor; Kathleen Nelson of Chicago and Co- lumbia, Mo., and Mary Margaret Campbell, '38, of Detroit. James B. Douglas of Detroit, a senior in the medical school this year, acted as best man. The ushers for the wedding were Dr. William G. Niiolls of :ontiac, Nathan Munro of Jackson, John W. Strayer of Bu- chanan. Others assisting were Ern- et Monroe of Mt. Pleasant, Richard V. Lewis, brother of the bridegroom, and Donald C. Edmonson, brother of tie bride. Mrs. Lewis took a year of graduate work in psychiatric-social service in the University of Chicago, following her graduation here in 1937, and studied in the graduate school here. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and was president of the al- umnae chapter this year. Mr. Lewis received his bachelor of science degree in 1936. He is a senior In the medical school and belongs to Ihi Delta Theta and Nu Sigma Nu fraternities. * * * Betty Gatward Engaged , Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Gatward of Britton Dr., Detroit, have an- nounced the engagement of their daughter, Betty Jean, to Lieut. James L Mueller, U.S.M.R. of Quantico, Va. aueller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Moritz L. Mueller of Grosse Pointe. Miss Gatward attended the Uni- versity and was woman's editor of the Michiganensian. She was president of Mortarboard and was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi. Lieut. Mueller re- ceived his degree from Washington Dniversity in Seattle and is a mem- ber of Beta Theta Pi. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Telin of Mil- waukee have announced the engage- ment of their daughter, Mary Jane, to Dr. L. W. Bristol, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Bristol of Detroit. The VWedding will take place. Nov. 4. ' The bride-elect graduated from towa State and is affiliated with Delta Delta Delta. Dr. Bristol has degrees from Bucknell and the Uni- versity of Michigan. Mueller of Detroit, and Thomas Robert Faragher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Faragher of Seattle, took place Sept. 2. Mrs. Faragher graduated from the University of Michigan in 1938. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi and was treasurer of Mortar Board and vice- president of the Michigan League. * * * Marriage Made Known The marriage of Harriet Breay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Breay of Ann Arbor, to Rev. Earl Philps Sawyer of Lapeer, son of Mr. P. N. Sawyer of Redford, took place Sept. 8 in the First Method- ist church in Ann Arbor.
