Named ' C. . .of cabbages and kings . in spite of the fact that the campus suffered from exodus of stoogents headed in the cirection of Chicago there certainly was a lot of social activity going on around and about the town. In this social whirl most naturally the Union Formal and Emerson Gill at the League were the headliners. The weekend began with the Lane Hall Coffee Hour Friday which was very well attended. Among the guests were Mrs. Kenneth Morgan and Davin Morgan, aged 16 months and Dr. Blakeman dis- cussing the affairs of the world. Jim Vicary and Patty Haislip were there also involved in an intricate looking, conversation with Dotty Shipman and Don Treadwell. Then came the night-time and the Union Formal . It was a tremendous success from the appearance of every- one having a wonderful time dancing to Bill Sawyer's hand. Dick Roemer was there with Sidney Roach, one of Carg's choices foir the most beautiful freshman. The Sig Es's had a large table there with plenty of fun centering around it during the evening. JOHNSON Aoph Cabaret Interviews To Be Held Today Ten Positions Are Open; Interviewing Will Last Until 3 P.M._Wednesday Interviewing for central committee positions forathe 1939 Soph Cabaret will begin at 3 p.m. today in the Undergraduate Office of the League, Betty Slee, '40, chairman of Judiciary Council, announced yesterday. Interviews will continue till 6 p.m.j today and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to-I morrow, Miss Slee said. Applicants should be prepared to elaborate oni their ideas for the project and must bring their eligibility cards with ahem, she continued. Ten Positions Are Open There are 10 chairmanships. Sev- aral of them differ from those of the central committee last year. The positions consist of the general chair- nanship, finance, tickets, dance,, songs, publicity, costume, booths and exhibits, decorations, recorder, and hostesses and partons chairmanships. The song chairman will be in charge of all choruses and of leading the mu- sical numbers. This year the dance chairman will be responsible for get- ting all the music used for the dance numbers. New Positions Open The recorder' will have charge of eligibility which was formerly the responsibility of the assistant gen- sral chairman. The latter position .as been omitted this year.
