Make-Up Needed With Sun Tan Just as accessories are vital to the completion of an attractive suit, so is the correct type of make-up neces- sary to set off that sought-after tan. As the tan becomes darker, the shade of powder should also become darker. Experts advise the use of a powder which will blend in with your complexion rather than trying to ac- quire a rich tan over night by the use of a deeper powder. Yellow tints should be avoided for they are apt to make many people who are just acquiring tans look sickly. However, foundations are excellent to cover up those spots that the sun just hap- pened to miss. Rouge, polish, and lipstick should all take on a lighter trend, once again, however, depending upon your natur- al complexion. It is usually advis- able to continue the use of the make- up used during the winter months, providing it is fitting to your com- plexion, in a lighter shade. To avoid that "dirty look" which often accompanies tanned skins a shade of make-up more orange than us- ual has been found by many to solve that difficulty. To convey that "breath of spring" air even on the hottest days, many advocate the complete abandonment of perfumes for colognes-especially tight ones. The athletic type of wo- nan might use a spicy odor while ethers usually stick to the more flow- ery types. .i i,.
