The program is to include "Gigue in Counterpoint," by Corelli, a tradi- tional Christmas carol, "Dance Suite" by Bartok, "Three Dances of Judith" by Lloyd-Williamson, a "Waltz" by Strauss, several "Traditional Eng- lish Country Dances," and "Chil- dren's Suite" by Tansman. Dances were composed by the group with the exception of the English Folk Group, and the "Three Dances of Judith" which were composed by Miss Ruth Bloomer, faculty adviser. , The recital will mark the first public hearing of Lloyd-Williamson's musical accompaniment of "Three Dances of Judith" which was written after the dance had been composed. The "Tansman Children's Suite" has been done at the suggestion of Mr. Thor Johnson, of the University School of Music. Mr. Johnson has arranged these dances for the Little Symphony, and at a later recital this suite will be done with orchestral Accompaniment. In addition to a group of 20 Univer- sity students, seven local grammer school pupils will take part in the re- cital. They are Judy Attwood, Dor- othy Blanchard, Grace Blanchara, Gretchen Riggs, Mary Gray, Sylvia Sharfroth, and Lilian Wagner. They will dance "Christmas Carol."
