Tarty Line By the Neighbor This weekend started off early with the Hillel tea dance Friday after- noon, at the Union. Jean Tenofsky and Ted Leibovitz were busy taking in tickets at the door. Among the hostesses buzzing around were Norma Gins- berg, Natalie Sherman, Jane Sanger, Doris Wechsler, Edith Coffmann and Alice Seltzer. Doing the Lambeth Walk were Adele Franklin and Sam Grant, Marie Davis, Gloria Schlager, Dave Rice, Reva Frumken, Chester Phillipson and Sid Steinhart. At the Pi Lambda Phi pledge formal we ran across Mimi Cohen and Leo Klauber saying this and that to Jean Ross and Eugene Kane. Johnnie Mitchell and Janet Jacobon were there as were Laura Kastanel and Eddie Resnick. Jimmy Frankel and Betty Lipton were enjoying the music with due feeling. Len Eastman and Dottie Glass were 'swinging out in good style. We strolled over past the Zeta Beta Tau house and saw Shirley Toubus and Dick Wile going in the door. Peeking through the window in our best Sherlock Holmes manner, we saw Elaine Deutsch dance by with Harold Stackler, and Janet Sotto was listening intently to what Ralph Loef had to say. Charlie Swings It With Extra Umph.. Over at the League and such goings on! Bingo, dancing and everything. Dave Blue and Alice Stevenson were sitting this one out with Owen Baker who was patienty awaiting his date. Phil Newman and Barb Heath danced passed us and almost bumped into Pattie Haislip and Ben Dewey. Alberta Wood and Bob Golden were coming down the stairs from the ballroom as Myrtle McElfresh and Agnes Landers floated up in a hurry. Betty Brackett and Bill Comstock went whizzing around to Charlie's music which was extra smooth Friday night. Keep it up, Charlie! 'Johnny Stevens and Janet Grace were going after their wraps at the same time s as.Jane Ulrey and Doug Fowle. The Dekes threw a hayride Friday Snight and they're still recuperating from d :4 falling off the wagon, the crowd was so big. Tangled up in straw and people were A:Jim Livingston, Louise Carpenter, Guy Howard, Mary Wheat, Gwen Lemon, Charlie Hohman, Dick Long and Betty Ward. Lending their husky voices in song were Ted Grace, Mery Levan, Wallie Meyn, Dorothy Rouse, Bill Canfield and Jane Peterson. When they stopped for doughnuts and coffee some more ap- peared as if from no where. This time we saw Armin Darmstaetter, Margene Meyn, Bill Davidson, Beverly Bracken, Fran Morley and Bill Miller. Just befdre leaving Fran Mackey and Bill Delbridges were scrambling for seats for the ride home. Busy Night At Union And A.T.O. House ... Friday was such a busy night but we took a few/minutes and snuck into the Union for a glimpse; results: Margo Thom and Bob Elliot were there and so were Dottie Shipman and Bud Lundahl. Barbara Teal and Dorothy Davis were seeking their wraps and Norman Kewley was seeking his date. Wehope that they were successful. There were still a few minutes left till 1:30 a.m. so we dashed over to the A.T.O. house and this is what we saw: Bette Meyer with Glenn Brink, Janet Clark and Frank Sprogle having just heaps of fun, and dashing out on their way home were Berta Leete and Jerry Martin. Doughnuts And Cider Add To Hayride... Lambda Chi Alpha also gave a hayride th~is weekend and it was loads of fun. Millie Radford and Morgan Gibbs were seated in the middle of an over- crowded haywagon, trying to pretend to be comfortable. We still have our doubts. At the stopping off post we saw Ann Hall and Jimmy Colenso hungrily munching on sugared doughnuts, while they washed it' down with cider. %Patsy Matthews and Mickey MacLeod were dancing amid an autumn setting of cornstalks. Sturday night at the League was quite a busy time. Betty Jane Crawford was there with Bill Lait- ner and they neatly avoided a horrible collision on the dance floor with Tad Lynch and Johnnie Devine, at one moment in the evening. Anna Kay Pease and Bud Bittinger were enjoying themselves immensely and Joe Reed and Joan Davidson were doing some fancy stepping. Fran Bourke was seen com- ing out of the cloak room just as Ellen'Krieghoff and Jim Douglas arrived to check their wraps. Sunday Dinner Finishes A Weekend'. Sunday at the Psi U. house for dinner was Glade Allen who came out for the weekend, and was busily eating her plate clean while Don Barnes kept the conversation going between bites. Jane Nussbaum and Jack Chap-, man were at the Junior table with Dottie Stephenson, Jim Hammond, andl Dwight Adams. Kevel Thomas adorned the Senior table with Phil Whitte-i more. They all dashed off to welcome the team home and we were joined by Alice Thomas and Dave Haughey. At the Sunday Night Symposium at thes t; / n Hillel Foundation, becoming very intellectual, we noticed Avery Weissman, Lorraine Mantler, Helen Novitski, Bryna Lewis, Maurie Simons,; and Art Katz among a host of faces. Considering the fact that so many went 'way out to Minne- apolis to see the game, this weekend was quite a gay one, and every one who stayed home had just as much fun as those who went away.
