This auditorium according to Dr. Rabinowitz, amply satisfies the traditional Jewish con- cept of the three uses for the syna- gogue: for prayer, study and assem- bly. The chapel is equipped with a' loud speaker system. The lounges on the ground floor are the scenes of the many social gatherings sponsored by Hillel. In these rooms are found a large part of the Foundation's collection of maga- nines, including some of the outstand- ing Jewish periodicals. Hillel's recreation room has facili- ties for ping-pong, chess and check- ers. Its kitchen is used often, par- ticularly on special social and religi- ous occasions.
