Tailored and semi-dress coats in particular this season have nu- merous new touches that speak of warm days to come. White Used On Box Coats Box coats are especially good when they have a touch of white at the shoulders or in the form of a pique collar. One very good looking coat of a light weight nubby navy wool is being shown in a campus shop. The shoulders are accented and the lines of" the coat fall straight from a tail- or'ed collarless neck-line. The neck and edge of the lapels are bound in navy gros grain ribbon. A large white and yellow daisy perches on one shoulder to add the final touch of spring. Coats for spectator sports wear de- signed on box lines has been made up in both large and small checks of subdued tones. The material is a loosely woven, rough wool that blends well with spring suits. One smart model of this design is of a fine black and white plaid and has large ac- cented shoulders and tremendous patch pockets. The neck closes with two large plaid buttons and has no collar so that bright scarves may be tied over the coat. The coat shown in the cut is of naturalcamel's hair cut in box lines and very simple for campus wear. Reefer Coats Still Popular Reefer coats are very good again this season and are being shown in many new shades and materials. Navy, the prennial spring favorite is vith us again. One chic coat of this model and color has the accented shoulders and a very small collar and lapels. The coat's most unusual fea- ture is a stiff pique collar and lapels of white that are detachable for the frequent cleaning that the color de- mands. Reefer coats in light weight wools are excellent when made of pastel colors. One good looking one is of Parisian blue with narrow collar and lapels. The pockets are set vertically at the natural waist line. Pastel Reversibles Shown The adaptible reversible coat is be- ing shown this spring in all of the new Easter egg colors of a new light weight wool for warh days.. Fuscia, aqua, chartreuse, dusty blue and other light colors may be ob- tained in this coat so as to match spring suits. Incongrous as it seems, furs are the height of fashion this year for dress wear, both for afternoon and evening. Though silver fox scarves are good the short, chunky bolero is best. Natural Baby Fisher is a soft new fur that has been made into a stun- ning bolero with three-quarters length sleeves. Skunk and foxes worn over tea-time gowns or formals will be seen at the smarter receptions this season. Fur Trimming For Dress Dressy spring coats invariably have fur trimmings as always. Light col- ored furs topping coats of full and shirred lines are good for informal evening wear. Light weight pastel wools with accented shoulders and shirred yolks will be seen for all dress occasions. Flower Scents Are In New Perfumes The recent appearance of spring perfumes on the cosmetic counters is the surest sign that warmer days will soon be with us. Floral scents breath from every bottle the charm and glow of great spring and summer gardens loaded with blooms. The mystery of warm nights too, has been felt in the influence of a new exotic R perfume put out by Corday. It is "Tzigane," a gypsy scent to blend with the wandering spirit of many new formals patterened on this theme. Coty's "L'Aimant" is pe- culiarly adapted to this season of the year. All lovers of the delicate summer garden whiffs will enthuse over Pe- rugia's new "Atmosphere," a per- fume made of dozens of fragrant French flowers.
