Donates Manuscripts A special reference library dealing with all phases of wireless and radio is to be established by the University, it was announced yesterday. It is believed to be the first collection of its kind in the country. A group of 125 brochures, papers and books presented to the University by the Columbia Broadcasting Sys- tem will form the nucleus of the new library. Surveys of the radio field, listening groups and their habits and prefer- mces from 1927 to the present, besides niumerous publications dealing with the Columbia network and its mem- ber stations, make up the gift.' A bibliography to assist in further build- ing up the library also was included. Material which was collected by Prof. Waldo M. Abbot, director of broadcasting, will be added to the gift. Dr. Randolph G. Adams, director of Clements Library, is cooperating with William S. Paley, president of the broadcasting firm, in developing the library.
